The goals of Disciples Men's Ministry are to encourage the men of The Avenue to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, to support and undergird the other ministries of our congregation, and to offer service to the larger church and to our community.

These Goals are Accomplished in the Following Ways:

Study
Men of Character, PAUL -  Living for the Call of Christ by Dr. Gene A. Getz.

Paul was one of the greatest and most influential Christians who ever lived.  How do the principles Paul taught and practiced apply to the lives of Christians today?  This book examines the powerful life and ministry of the apostle Paul and reveals how his shining example illuminates our Christian walks today. From his sudden conversion on the road to Damascus through his many years of molding the early church, the stories of Paul's tireless ministry amid relentless persecution are still as important and inspiring as they ever were, offering courageous, and practical lessons for today's generation.

Accountability

Accountability is crucial for the spiritual growth of Christian men.  We all have demands in the workplace, home life and church. Without the accountability of another Christian it is nearly impossible to accomplish that which God would have us do.

Fellowship and Service

The Disciple Men serve breakfast at the church every 3rd Sunday at 8:00 A.M. We also volunteer our time and talent to Jarvis Christian College, Mikes Kids, and other activities as we are made aware. We believe that we are to use whatever gifts we have received to serve others.
